Climate change is an ecological
disaster, but it is also a moral one.
Excess carbon was put in the
atmosphere by few industrialized
nations, yet the consequences will be
suffered by many around the globe.
In order to achieve climate justice,
the Global North will have to accept
responsibility for the removal of the
43.1 billion tons of CO2 that produced
its wealth. It is not easy to deal with the guilt of a debt this big, and we cannot wait for nations and corporations to address it. We can, however, start to collectively do our part, and find solace in removing one milligram of CO2 at a time.

In Climatic Reparations, a DIY carbon capture machine powered by algae has been collectivelly built. The goal of the machine is not to solve the climate crisis by itself but rather to illustrate the combined
effort to act pro-environmentally and encourage small contributions to the most intimidating yet important
project of our time.
